The Boulder Site is home to the specialized technical operations/CMC team for oligonucleotides and RNAi therapeutics, continuing its legacy as the hub for all manufacturing-related activities for GalXC™ and GalXC-Plus™ investigational therapeutics developed from Novo Nordisk’s acquisition of Dicerna Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in December 2021. With a new laboratory completed in 2021 to support analytical and process development, the CMC team works alongside Quality, Regulatory, Technical Operations and RNAi Early Development professionals at our Boulder, Colorado facility and works closely with our teams in Lexington, Massachusetts. The Position

Responsible for maintaining and issuing properly stored and labelled materials and receiving inventory and non-inventory materials.

Essential Functions

Receive all inventory and non-inventory materials according to procedures. Complete all documentation and labelling to properly identify materials and receipt status. Ensure all materials are placed in appropriate locations and that all documentation is forwarded to appropriate functions Transact all inventory moves to maintain inventory accuracy in the company’s SAP system Execute cycle counts for all inventory materials, as needed Investigate inventory discrepancies and report results Review and modify procedures/work instructions Provide Purchasing with recommendations regarding inventory reorder points and other potential improvements Participate in improvement activities inside and outside of department Communicate material availability to planning and manufacturing Ship product according to procedures. Lead, coordinate, and execute product/sample shipments Keep current, informed and trained in all aspects of shipping, receiving and handling of all chemicals and hazardous materials. This includes material compatibility in storage Maintain IATA certification. Provide coaching for IATA training and HazMat shipments Maintain communication with carriers for scheduling of deliveries and shipments May provide training for junior employees Maintain departmental equipment work instructions Ensure safety is being integrated into routine daily work practices Primary responsible for fielding department inert gas alarms, swapping inert gas dewars Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations and industry codes Incorporates the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions with others Cross trained in Materials Coordinator responsibilities Ideal Candidate has previous SAP Experience Ideal Candidate has Forklift certification

 

Physical Requirements

0-10% overnight travel required. The ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, and walk. The ability to push, pull, lift, finger, and grasp. The ability to speak, listen, and understand verbal and written communication. Repetition including substantial movement of wrists, hands, and or fingers. Lifting up to 33lbs/15kg of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual acuity to perform close activities such as: reading, writing, and analyzing; operating a motor vehicle or heavy equipment, and to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations. Ability to distinguish colors. Corrected vision to 20/30. The working environment includes a variety of physical conditions, working in narrow aisles, and temperature changes.

 

Qualifications

Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent & eight (8) plus years related experience or Associates or equivalent & six (6) plus years related experience or bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have good communication skills, attention to detail and good record keeping skills Must be able to operate a forklift, hand truck and pallet jack Must maintain good driving record

 

The base compensation range for this position is $50,000 to $65,000. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. 
 
Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
