Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Clerk to perform a variety of administrative and warehousing tasks to support our inventory control department. This role includes handling receiving, inspection, stockroom, and shipping/export functions, with potential specialization in areas like bar coding or data entry. The ideal candidate will engage in customer-working groups and take independent action to resolve issues, demonstrating a high degree of initiative. Additionally, you will provide guidance and training to less experienced members of the inventory control team.
ResponsibilitiesExecute physical or administrative tasks related to the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.Identify and implement process improvements in shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution operations.Receive and inspect goods against purchase orders or invoices, reject unsatisfactory items, and maintain records of received goods and rejections.Perform heavy lifting and operate a forklift.Prepare goods for final shipment, post weights and shipping charges, and maintain shipping records.Examine parts and distribute materials as needed within the inventory control department and manufacturing area.Prepare kitting packages for use in both production and fulfillment areas.Utilize Wasp Bar Coding for various departmental functions and establish detailed instructions for cross-functional training.Lead departmental cross-training efforts and serve as the lead trainer for all process improvements.Essential SkillsExperience in shipping and receiving.Knowledge of inventory control and kitting processes.Ability to operate a forklift.Proficiency in data entry and ERP systems.Familiarity with Microsoft Office.Experience with material handling and RF scanners.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift certification is a plus but not required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The position operates within a manufacturing environment, working the first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Occasional overtime may be required. The role involves heavy lifting and the use of equipment like forklifts and RF scanners.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00
