**Job Title: Shipfitter** **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced Senior Shipfitter with at least 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate should have expertise in tacking using TIG and MIG welding techniques. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret blueprints and sketches. + Perform tack welding using TIG and MIG techniques. + Utilize hand tools such as clamps, hammers, mauls, gougers, grinders, saws, band saws, drills, tapes, and scales. + Ensure accuracy and precision in shipfitting tasks. + Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently. **Essential Skills** + At least 3 years of shipfitting experience. + Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding techniques. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches. + Experience with tack welding. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Formal craft training in shipfitting. + Strong understanding of shop mathematics. **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive wellness program, including fitness reimbursement, as well as medical, dental, vision, and 401(K) with company funding. The facility currently employs 230 people, and the work schedule is from 5 AM to 3:30 PM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Slidell, Louisiana. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.20 - $26.20/hr.
