Shift Supervisor
Position ProfileAssists Shift Manager in ensuring copy jobs are completed according to company quality standards, client job specifications, and order deadline dates at the lowest possible production cost for the shift. Effectively supervises assigned personnel, equipment operation, and workflow.
Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesAchieves customer satisfaction by meeting the set goals of labor commitment and over-achieving Focus Four percentages for the shift.
Responsible for preparing, photocopying, inspecting, compiling, assembling, and binding documents as necessary.
Ensures the quality of operations for the shift by achieving the appropriate percentage on Best Practices Audit and Deadline Compliance on MIS Sales Analysis.
Increases productivity by making supplies and work area easily accessible and maintaining a clean and well-organized production center throughout the shift.
Ensures customer satisfaction according to company standards of quality and output.
Ensures employee safety by educating the production team on proper safety procedures and programs.
Manages the development of production employees by training, coaching, and counseling employees.
Maintains a positive internal working relationship with the Sales Department.
Ensures payroll accuracy by overseeing and correcting all time clock punches.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Certifications)1-5 years of related experience in Production.
Bachelor's degree in a related business field or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExperience in training by delivering classroom and informal training sessions.
Skilled in setting goals by defining and prioritizing specific, realistic objectives.
Proficient in using a personal computer with standard business software applications.
Excellent oral communication skills, able to clearly present information in positive and negative circumstances.
Ability to motivate individuals and groups by creating a positive work environment, quality training, and mentoring.
Proficient in mathematical functions relative to business operations, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing all units of measurement.
Working Conditions, Mental, and Physical DemandsManages demand of time by working normal hours, while being on call 24 hours via pager.
Ability to work 8 to 12 hour shifts, including nights, weekends, overtime, and holidays depending on the volume of work to satisfy account needs.
Must be able to work in a production facility with moderate to high noise levels.
Copes with moderate stress levels by adapting to and managing stressful situations positively.
Position often requires standing and walking.
May be required to lift and move supplies weighing up to 50 lbs from the floor to waist height, carry them 10 feet, and lower them back to the floor.
Utilizes a copy machine by standing on feet for at least four hours per day.
