Heineken Experience Store - Shift Leader

Type: Full-time (40 hours)

Area: Amsterdam - Unfortunately we do not support relocation for this role. We can therefore only consider candidates who live within reasonable travel distance to the work location.

 

In this role you are responsible for coordinating all daily operational activities in the Heineken Flagship Store. This focusses on merchandise sales and guest hospitality, with the aim of running an effective and service oriented Store. For this you will coordinate all floor personnel on the day and handle all in-store (service) requests. Besides you will be asked to perform different Store operations related tasks (e.g. training, system improvements) in alignment with the Store Operations Manager.

 

Role Context

The Heineken Experience is the home of Heineken, located in the old brewery in the city center of Amsterdam. As one of the main attractions of the city it welcomes over a million visitors per year. One of its highlights is the newly developed Heineken Flagship Store, which is one of the biggest branded merchandise stores in the world and the only place where you can buy the official Heineken merchandise. Here you’ll find a dazzling amount of Heineken items, ranging from dozens of different key chains to Heineken branded mini bikes.

Important Notice!

The HEINEKEN Experience is open 365 days on an annual base. This requires flexible availability that will be accommodated by a special work schedule. As such you will not work a regular work week but might be required to work during weekends and public holidays.

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities

Coordinate daily Store operations

Oversee correct in-store sales procedures and make sure all merchandise is presented according to the HEX Merchandise outlines. Safeguard exceptional guest hospitality and service. Manage and instruct floor personnel, and ensure the Store represents the HEX values. Also check and register worked hours and ensure correct administration. Ensure Store operations comply with all safety regulations.

 

Pro-actively support the development of the Store

Perform Store operations related tasks, like trainings, in alignment with the Store Operations Manager Provide feedback for HEX Store improvement, in terms of product and promotions. Ensure all systems (e.g. cash desks) are used accordingly and flag malfunction or points of improvement. Maintain good cooperation with the HEX Warehouse Manager and accompanied logistics.

 

Who you are

MBO or Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

Min 2 years of experience in retail or hospitality leadership/supervisory role Flexible and ability to manage uncertainty and work under pressure Guest engagement experience Strong employee and stakeholder engagement skills Solution oriented, proven track record of improving business processes Proactive mindset & the ability to multitask Excellent command of the English language (both spoken and written)
