SharePoint Content Management Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a SharePoint Content Management Specialist to manage and maintain content across our SharePoint sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for updating and organizing pages, documents, lists, and permissions while following SharePoint best practices. This role requires strong communication skills to collaborate with various teams and ensure content is up-to-date and structured efficiently. Additionally, the candidate should have experience using ShareGate for content migration and content reorganization as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Update and maintain SharePoint pages, lists, and document libraries in alignment with company standards. Manage permissions and access controls to ensure appropriate content security. Follow SharePoint best practices for content organization and governance. Work closely with business teams to gather content requirements and implement updates. Create and maintain metadata, views, and content structures to improve navigation and searchability. In depth knowledge in SharePoint out-of-the-box features such as Hubs, Search, and Managed Metadata to enhance content management and user experience. Provide user support and training on SharePoint content management practices. Conduct regular audits to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and up to date. Identify opportunities for process improvement and content optimization. Assist in restructuring and reorganizing content for better usability and findability. Use ShareGate for content migration, including moving documents, lists, and pages between SharePoint sites and from file-shares.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in SharePoint content management, including modern SharePoint sites. Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, including document libraries, lists, pages, and permissions management. Understanding of SharePoint governance policies and best practices. Familiarity with SharePoint metadata, taxonomy, and information architecture. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. Ability to analyze content structures and recommend improvements for better user experience. Experience with ShareGate for content migration and restructuring. Basic knowledge of Power Automate and Power Apps is a plus. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools (OneDrive, Teams, Power Platform) in relation to SharePoint content management.

 

Educational Qualification

Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (B.E./B.Tech. preferred) or equivalent professional experience.

Shift Timings - It will be a day shift, however, candidate should be flexible for overlap calls with US team.
