Position Overview: The SharePoint Administrator\/Knowledge Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's SharePoint environment, ensuring effective collaboration, information sharing, and knowledge management across the enterprise. This role involves the administration of SharePoint sites, libraries, and permissions, as well as the development and implementation of knowledge management strategies to optimize the use of information resources. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SharePoint architecture, features, and functionalities, along with a strong background in knowledge management practices.\n

Key Responsibilities:\n\n\n

SharePoint Administration:\n\nManage, configure, and maintain SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, workflows, and permissions.\nEnsure the SharePoint environment is secure, optimized, and aligned with organizational needs.\nMonitor and troubleshoot SharePoint-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.\nImplement SharePoint updates, patches, and enhancements as required.\n\n\n\n

Knowledge Management:\n\nDevelop and implement knowledge management strategies to capture, organize, and disseminate information effectively.\nCreate and maintain knowledge repositories, ensuring that content is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to authorized users.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to identify knowledge gaps and develop solutions to address them.\nPromote the use of knowledge management tools and practices across the organization.\n\n\n\n

User Support and Training:\n\nProvide end-user support for SharePoint-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.\nDevelop and deliver training programs and documentation to help users effectively utilize SharePoint and knowledge management tools.\nAssist users in creating and managing SharePoint sites, libraries, and workflows.\n\n\n\n

Compliance and Security:\n\nEnsure that SharePoint and knowledge management practices comply with DOD 8140\/8570 requirements and organizational security policies.\nManage user access and permissions in accordance with security clearance requirements.\nConduct regular audits of SharePoint sites and knowledge management processes to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.\n\n\n\n

Qualifications:\n\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\nExperience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SharePoint administration and knowledge management.\nCertifications:\n\nDOD 8140\/8570 IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP, or equivalent).\nSharePoint Administrator certification preferred.\n\n\nSkills and Abilities:\n\nStrong understanding of SharePoint architecture, features, and best practices.\nProficient in developing and implementing knowledge management strategies.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support users at all levels.\n\n\n\n
