We have an open position as a qualified Shared Service Accountant. This is a newly created role in our In-House shared service center team in Malaysia, and is responsible in the provision of on-going financial support for the entities in APAC region. Your contribution to the team includes: Execute full scope month-end and year-end close activities including journal entries and reconciliations Ensure timely and accurate posting of financial data into ERP system in accordance with close timetable include recurring prepayments, accruals, bank entries, interco and other general adhoc entries Responsible to prepare and analyse Balance Sheet accounts under his/her responsibility monthly and to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions promptly Support Global AP and Fixed Asset shared services including vendor set up/amendment, invoice coding and payment voucher/fixed asset form processing, manual bank payment processing Support preparation of internal monthly/quarterly group reporting including cash analysis and tax reporting Support preparation of month end financial reports required for monthly/bi-monthly/quarterly external indirect and withholding tax filings Support external audit process by providing accurate and timely information requested Collaborate with regional business teams to standardize and streamline accounting processes across regions Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives for finance operations Assist Asia Finance Director for any ad-hoc queries and implementation of ad-hoc corporate initiatives What you’ll need to be successful: Minimum of 2 years’ accounting working experience Individual contributor with opportunity to work with diverse team across International – matrix reporting structure reporting into Shared Service Director based in India but partnering with local Finance Managers Opportunity to develop understanding of International accounting and tax requirements Opportunity to take ownership of functional process across International region Understanding and implementing new accounting policies and procedures as and when required Presentation of financial information to non-financial staff Moderate to advanced Excel skills, experience with Oracle SaaS is a plus 48559
