We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SharePoint Administrator to join our team in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. As a SharePoint Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of SharePoint environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role requires expertise in SharePoint technologies, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate with customers to resolve issues effectively within the DoD framework.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

SharePoint Administration: Administer and maintain SharePoint environments, including the design and implementation of SharePoint sites, libraries, workflows, and permissions. Implement best practices for SharePoint governance, ensuring proper utilization of features and resources. Security and Compliance: Enforce security policies and compliance measures in SharePoint environments to meet DoD standards. Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain SharePoint security controls. User Support: Provide user support and training for SharePoint users, ensuring effective use of collaboration and document management features. Work closely with customers to understand their SharePoint-related needs and challenges. Troubleshooting and Remediation: Proactively identify and troubleshoot SharePoint-related issues, including connectivity, performance, and functionality problems. Collaborate with customers and IT teams to resolve outages and provide input on issue resolution. Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement SharePoint backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability. Conduct regular backup tests and maintain documentation for recovery procedures. Migration and Upgrades: Plan and execute SharePoint migration projects, including upgrades to newer versions. Ensure a seamless transition of data and configurations during migration activities. Customization and Development: Customize SharePoint solutions using tools like SharePoint Designer and develop custom workflows and applications. Collaborate with developers to integrate SharePoint with other enterprise systems.
