Set-up, remove and troubleshoot injection mold tooling and auxiliary equipment.  Perform preventative maintenance on injection molds.

 

This position,  once trained, will be on a 12-hour shift. This will entail 36 hours one week then 48 hours the next. Out of a 14 day period, this position will work 7 days and have 7 days off in a rotating fashion. Overtime is paid for anything worked over 10 hours in a day, so a lot of overtime opportunity!

 

 

Essential Job Responsibilities

 

Ability to set-up molds. Ability to troubleshoot machine processes. Ability to read specifications to determine machine set-up and prescribed temperature and time settings. Ability to repair and maintain machines and auxiliary equipment using hand and power tools. Enter molding parameters in the press.

Required Education and Experience

 

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

 

 

Required Skills

 

Strong written/verbal communication Good decision-making skills Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities Regular and predictable attendance At least two years recent experience in an injection molding environment Excellent math skills needed Ability to read blueprints and other engineering drawings Knowledge and ability to use various hand tools Basic PC and internet skills
