Job Description

BESIX Watpac is seeking a Services Engineer to plan and coordinate design and on-site engineering activities of building services to achieve project time and budget objectives.

This role will be responsible for:

Participate in the design management of building services (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, fire) to ensure that the emerging documentation meets the required specification cost budgets and program for construction and installation.Coordinate building services engineering consultants and subcontractors where appointed.In conjunction with the Contracts Administrator identify applicable cost savings and assist with product selection and problem solving to achieve best value for money.Review all documentation for adequacy of design input.Progressively monitor the production of workshop drawings and as built documents.Monitor progress and quality of the construction and plant installation on site, ensuring compliance with quality control, engineering and safety requirements.Participate in the handover and commissioning of the project including submission of final documentation, as built documents, authority approvals, warranties, training and guarantees.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.Experience in coordinating Mechanical and/or Electrical design, construction and installation activities on building projects.Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the external and internal business environment.Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision making skills.
