The Opportunity:

We are looking for a ServiceNow Platform Architect with agile methodology experience to support our DoD customer to implement an enterprise IT service delivery model that provides consistent, secure, high-quality, and cost-effective services to enable mission success and improve end user experience across the customer environment.  On this program, we will deliver enhanced capabilities and services to implement and operate an enterprise ITSM solution, enterprise service desk, endpoint management and security solution, as well as CONUS/OCONUS field support and life cycle support for end user devices to enable the DoD customer to transition focus from IT operations to mission operations.

Responsibilities:

As a technical lead for an agile team, you are responsible for all aspects of application/module architecture.Maintain sound understanding of enterprise and platform level architecture.Liaison with business analysts to understand business needs and develop solutions that meet business needs and comply with enterprise and platform level architecture and standards.Present and evangelize the solution to architecture guilds and management.Work with business analysts and scrum master to create implementation/development plan for new features/applications/solutions by developing epics and stories.Participate in Agile ceremonies by leading in all technical aspects, including leading the demos to the Product Owner and all applicable stakeholders.Evangelize the developed solution to team members and work with team members to breakup stories into tasks and assist in completion of tasks in timely fashion.Motivating developers, testers and creating a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns.Keep up to date with industry trends and developments.Delegating tasks and ensuring all daily, sprint and release goals are achieved.Performs Architecture design and reviews as required, ensuring initiatives are aligned with future state.Identifies risks, opportunities, compliance issues or other architectural concerns.Active participation in Agile Scrum sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations and retrospectives and solution releases.Develop product teams technical skills through mentoring, coaching, and peer reviews.

The ideal candidate will bring:

A strong interest in agile software development practices and experience delivering deployable software in short sprints.Good ability to anticipate issues and formulate remedial actionsExcellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skillsAbility to collaborate with Developers, Program Managers, Testers, and Production Support Engineers to implement innovative technical solutions via iterative approach reducing time to deliveryProven experience working directly to oversee the architecture and development of the entire ServiceNow platformExperience with Remedy to ServiceNow migration with a focus on ITSM core competencies and complex data sets. Experience managing and maintaining self-hosted ServiceNow instances.Requires on site (Chantilly, VA) work location 5 days a week to be in proximity of self-hosted ServiceNow instances and environment. 

Qualifications:

Required: 

An active DoD secret clearance required15+ years’ experience related to the role. (Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience)3+ years’ experience in incremental software development projects such as the Agile Scrum approachProfessional experience operating within cross-functional teams and groups.Certified ServiceNow AdministratorMust meet 8570/8140 DoD Cyber Workforce Compliance requirement – Will be required to get IAT Level II certification within 60 days of hire if not already obtained.


Desired:

Ability to contribute to the development of program architecture and standards.Experience in Continuous integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) as well as SecDevOps processes and tools.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$119,800 - $263,600
