We have a great opportunity for a Service Writer in our Hooksett, NH location!
Summary
The Service / Rental Administrator will provide administrative and customer service support for the Service and Rental Department’s daily functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Make phone calls to customers to set up and confirm appointments as well as make follow-up customer relations follow-up calls.Obtain customer and vehicle data.Prepare estimates.Indicates on the repair order the exact repair instructions, making a special note of the main reason(s) the customer brought the vehicle in. Act as a liaison between the customers and the service department regarding any mechanical issues that arise (planned or unplanned technical/mechanical issues).Records changes on repair order in approved fashion.Review every service repair order for proper completion and accuracy.Add and/or change notes in repair orders.Close repair orders. Coordinate with logistics to dispatch equipment to clients for the rental and sales departments.Coordinate the administrative functions for the rental business to ensure organizational goals are met.Accurately and timely prepare and review operational reports and schedules as necessary to ensure accuracy and efficiency review shop schedule with Service Manager.Attend inventory status meetings and maintain an accurate understanding of the available inventory, anticipated timelines, and potential issues related to rental and sales equipment.Process equipment check-in and check-out.Required Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or the equivalent.Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and/or physical.Knowledge of aerial vehicles, equipment, and heavy & light duty trucksStrong communication and customer service skills.Must be team oriented. Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Puts success of team above own interests.General aptitude in working with common computer software (MS Office Suite, internet, etc.) to process orders. Knowledge of inventory software (M3, Rentalman, etc.) to process purchase orders and tracking inventory helpful.Experience with heavy equipment and/or auto sales, services or dealerships preferred.Experience with multi-state equipment rentals a plus.Must be self-sufficient and driven.6-12 months previous work experience (preferred).Working Conditions
Attendance – The ability to work as scheduled with punctual attendance 7:00 am- 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday plus any additional hours/days necessary in order to meet business demandsMajority of work performed in the office and occasionally the shopMay occasionally be exposed to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumesPhysical Requirements
Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time, occasional walking.Able to bend, stoop and lift up to 25 lbs.Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling Ability to see things in close proximity whether through natural or corrected visionBENEFITS
