Overview ***This position is physically located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP*** Under the general direction of the Service Support Manager, responsible for coordinating government and department property issues and receipts. Maintains accuracy in hand receipts for Service Support Department Primary Hand Receipt Holder for the Information Management Directorate. Stores and issues materials, equipment, and other items from designated SSD property area to ensure continual accountability of government property IAW FAR, and DFAR Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Coordinates to ensure a 100% accountability of Government Property and Material are maintained in accordance with applicable Government regulations. Ensures proper receipt, documentation, processing and delivery of all supplies and property IAW applicable Army Regulation and POs and PIOPs. Verifies inventory by comparing physical counts of stock and investigates discrepancies and/or adjusts errors. Prepares and reviews appropriate adjustment documentation for lost, damaged, or destroyed Government materials; including appropriate causative research is provided for review IAW established timelines. Receives and counts stock items, and records data using Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo). Assists management to effectively manage all Government Furnished Property and Materials to help develop and coordinate the implementation of Property policies and procedures. Stores items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas. Marks stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment. Maintains equipment utilization logs in accordance with applicable publications, rules and regulations. Performs periodic and monthly inventories recording quantity of items available. Assists/leads in palletizing, sorting and banding of parts and or materials for turn in to DRMO or as required. Performs daily entries of issues and receipts of parts/materials with the use of various forms and enters data into Maximo. Complies with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), Technical Exhibits (T.E.) and Policies and Standard Practices (P&SP’s). Utilizes a good working knowledge of governing property and material management systems, programs, policies, procedures, work methods, regulation, or other established guidelines, to take appropriate property control and material management action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines. Manages and maintains through periodic maintenance, administrative records and submit program status reports IAW established policies and procedures. Perform duties involving LTDD process, requesting, receiving, issuing, turn-in, accountability, inventory, storage and preservation of all Government Furnished Property and Materials. Cleans and maintains supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Recommends disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock. Drive trucks to pick up incoming stock or to deliver parts to designated locations. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Five (5) years’ experience in supply operations, property control and property inventory accountability or equivalent Prior experience with the US Military or in a Government Contracting environment is required. Previous experience in a customer service position and automated processing data information input skills. Maximo experience preferred Must have or be able to obtain G-Army Certification Must be able to obtain CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) Must be able to obtain CAC Must have a stateside driver’s license and be able to an on-base license Skills: Ability to verify inventory by comparing physical counts of stock and investigates discrepancies and/or adjusts errors. Ability to prepare and review appropriate adjustment documentation for lost, damaged, or destroyed Government materials; including appropriate causative research is provided for review IAW established timelines. Ability to assist management to effectively manage all Government Furnished Property and Materials to help develop and coordinate the implementation of Property policies and procedures. Ability to perform duties involving LTDD process, requesting, receiving, issuing, turn-in, accountability, inventory, storage and preservation of all Government Furnished Property and Materials. Working Conditions: Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard about ambient noise level. The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals Physical Requirements: Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
