Advanced Energy has devoted four decades to perfecting power for its global customers and is headquartered in Denver, Colorado. **POSITION SUMMARY** : The Service Supervisor manages one or more repair lines within the Global Service Operation team, coordinating the day-to-day activities within the Repair Depot. Basic duties include planning, scheduling, resource allocation, training, interviewing, and employee relations. Acts as a coach/ facilitator and builds a shared responsibility work team through development of individual and team skills and competencies by continuously moving responsibility for control and coordination out into the work groups. Performs testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic equipment to meet production schedules and performance standards. Responsible for providing management and engineering support to the work teams during night and weekend hours, including test station maintenance, emergency response and employee management. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Develops, communicates, and implements short term plans consistent with organizational and business unit goals. Includes resource planning, goal setting, prioritizing, and managing time. + Works collaboratively with the other leaders to drive their functional team to meet metrics, goals, and objectives and leads improvement projects. + Provides coaching and contributes to the professional growth of employees. + Responsible for staffing activities, including hiring recommendations, performance appraisals, promotion, and discipline. + Develops and implements structures that promote work team ownership of continuous improvement and corrective action processes. + Responsible for making management level decisions when Service Manager is not onsite. + Responsible for emergency response coordination during night and weekend hours. + Understands, follows, and enforces all safety requirements. + Understands, follows, and enforces all ISO practices and procedures. + Maintains test fixturing, performs calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance. + Responsible for ensuring proper and complete employee training. + Documents test results and other information accurately. + Models professional and positive work ethics. + Uses test procedures, drawings, schematics, and verbal/written instructions to test and troubleshoot units to component level. + Performs the duties of Technicians and Assemblers when required. + Occasional travel may be required. **WORK ENVIRONMENT:** + Works in a manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast paced. + Many tasks are repetitive in motion and include the use of electronic assembly equipment. + Overtime (OT) may be required in times of increased production. **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:** + Standing 40% approx. + Walking 20% + Sitting 40% + Carrying 30lbs max + Pushing 50lbs + Lifting 35lbs **QUALIFICATIONS:** + Electronic and Mechanical background required and must be able to read and interpret drawing and schematics. + Ability to make decisions using judgement, experience, and knowledge of AE policies. + Ability to present ideas in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner, both orally and in writing. + Ability and willingness to engage and effectively resolve conflict situations and employee disciplinary issues. + Capable of responding quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements in demand, product description, material demand and human resource requirements. + Ability to collaborate and involve others in decision-making and problem solving. + Ability to organize, schedule, coordinate and negotiate effectively and to set priorities in a manner which ensures maximum performance and goal accomplishment. + Good understanding of SAP and the ability to apply to manufacturing processes. + Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of demand-based manufacturing systems. + Good PC skills, including Excel, Word, MS Office. **EXPERIENCE:** + Electronics technical background required + Proven ability and experience maintaining flexibility and being able to adapt in a team environment + Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices + Previous supervisory experience desired + Experience with MRP systems and SAP preferred **EDUCATION:** + AAS degree in electronics or equivalent + APICS CPIM Certification/classes strongly desired + Six-Sigma Green Belt certification desired **COMPENSATION:** As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
