Your role and responsibilities

As a Service Sales Specialist, you will drive the sales performance of ABB Critical Power Services in our Electrification -Smart Power business in designated service territory (Southwest), implementing effective sales and business-development initiatives in line with global strategy. Leading Service Sales efforts for our Uninterruptible Power Supply, Static Switch and Power Distribution Units. Work with new and existing customers to help them keep our equipment reliable through maintenance and upgrade programs. Reporting to the Service Sales Leader, you will lead efforts for generating new orders by planning and executing sales transactions, which address and provide solutions to business systems problems to meet ambitious targets and exceed customer expectations.The work model for the role is: remote (#Li-Remote) within the assigned territory.This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in the Southwestern territory. You will be mainly accountable for:• Primary outside sales and relationship interface for a variety of accounts, sell into various industries such as Financials, Data Center, Industrial, Government and Healthcare• Perform direct sales and marketing activities including following up on leads; strategic account planning; building relationships with potential customers; fact finding; analyzing business processes in relation to current systems; uncovering applications; cost justifying new systems and applications; working with “flex” pricing; performing configurations, engineering and designing systems• Maintain the orders opportunity system databases and develop / prepare a needs assessment as well as distribute appropriate documentation to other team members for cost estimate, contract preparation process, parts quotes, etc. • Need to negotiate price and finalize contract terms and conditions to “close the deal”

Qualifications for the role

A Bachelor's Degree (OR Associate’s Degree in the electrical / mechanical engineering, marketing, or business management fields of study) Minimum 3 years’ sales experience or equivalent in the Critical Power Equipment related industry selling aftermarket services, contracts, and parts; Knowledge of UPS, Static Switches and Power Distribution Units a plus. Experience of business development, account management and cross-selling Exceptional communication and negotiating skills, a customer-focused mindset and a professional, “can-do” attitude Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
