Service Owner for Manufacturing Systems

Formulates and defines project scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Responsible for understanding the technology, business processes and opportunities in the context of the technical and business requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. This includes working as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, document and validate requirements for changes to business processes, revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary, policies and information systems as well as ensuring testing requirements are met and documenting business requirements. Competent to work on most phases of development, but may require some instruction and guidance in other phases.

Key Responsibilities: 

Lead the development and implementation of digital solutions for manufacturing systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. Manage the product lifecycle from ideation to deployment, including product strategy, roadmap, and feature prioritization in close collaboration with the Manufacturing team. Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements, present findings, and drive consensus.Analyze and document business processes, requirements and identify areas for improvement and optimization.Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and provide insights for process improvements.Develop and maintain process documentation, including process maps, workflows, and standard operating procedures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to deliver high-quality digital solutions. Oversee project management activities, including planning, execution, and monitoring of digital initiatives. Ensure seamless integration of digital solutions with existing manufacturing systems and processes. Provide expertise in any one of the following systems: OSI PI, QMS, LIMS, or hold a certification in any MES to drive digital transformation in manufacturing and supply chain. Facilitate communication and collaboration across global teams, ensuring effective coordination and delivery of digital projects. Provide training and support to end-users on new processes and systems.Experience is ARTs, PIs and exposure in presenting to steering committees are added advantage.

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 6 years of experience in digital service management, product management, product ownership, business analysis, and project management. At least 2 years of experience in any of the following OSI PI, QMS, LIMS, or any MES. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and systems including Purdue model. Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex digital projects on time and within budget. Ability to work effectively across time zones and manage remote teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

Preferred Skills: 

Experience with agile methodologies and tools. Knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools. Certification in any of the manufacturing execution systems (MES) Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or product management (SAFE6 POPM, AIPMM,CSPO,CBAP,CCBA).  Exposure to Industry 4.0 initiatives, the Purdue model, IoT, AI/ML is preferred but not mandatory Experience in handling change management and understanding of CI/CD
