My client a leader in designs and builds innovative and efficient packaging machinery in partnership with our Dutch parent company. We are looking to add an innovative and independent Electrical Field Engineer to our team. This role includes frequent international exposure, with a base in Somerset West, Western Cape.

Core responsibilities:

\r\n

- Design & testing of industrial software applications (for PLCs, HMIs, etc.)

\r\n

- Configuration of servo & frequency inverters

\r\n

- Electrical installation, commissioning and servicing of automated machinery

\r\n

Minimum Requirements:

\r\n

- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechatronic/Electrical Engineering

\r\n

- Willingness to travel frequently

\r\n

- Ability to develop ‘ladder logic’ PLC applications

\r\n

- Ability to read & interpret electrical schematics

\r\n

- Driver’s license & own transport

\r\n

- Professional competency in English

\r\n

Preferred Additional Skills/Experience:

\r\n

- 2 – 3 years of complex PLC application development

\r\n

- Basic proficiency in Afrikaans/Dutch

\r\n

- Experience in frequent travel for work

\r\n

Offer: 40 hours per week (full-time)

\r\n

- 15 days annual leave

\r\n
