The opportunity
You will play a key role in defining the way hedge fund and mutual fund advisors meet regulatory, tax, and financial statement reporting requirements, using our new, proprietary EY-developed technology platform. Top tier hedge funds and mutual fund companies are assessing and onboarding to the EY platform, which brings together investment risk data, transaction, and holdings data into a single platform for workflow management, transparency, and accountability to lower reporting costs and streamline the regulatory filing, tax reporting, and financial reporting. Your key responsibilities
Understand the intricacies of hedge fund and mutual fund regulatory and financial statement reporting. Review work of other team members with diverse backgrounds to ensure accuracy and completion according to regulatory reporting policies and procedures. Drive high quality work products within expected timeframes and budget. Monitor progress manage risks and ensure leadership is kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Resolve any exceptions/negative trends in regulatory reporting reviews and continuously develop and implement possible solutions to streamline processes. Bring strong attention to detail, problem solving and critical thinking to ensure work is complete and accurate and escalate issues to leadership when appropriate.

At least 3 years of work experience in the asset management industry A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related discipline Analytical skills, especially those related to fund accounting and asset management Strong proven communication skills demonstrated through effective writing and presentations to clients and internal stakeholders. Effective leadership, project management, and organizational skills3 An understanding of financial products and services, including those related to depository institutions, wholesale banking, insurance, asset management, securities, financial technology or private equity. An interest in working in an environment which encourages continuous learning, development and identification of opportunities for improvement of individual and team performance. A willingness to travel on an exception basis for client needs.Ideally, you’ll also have:
Strong interest in the hedge fund or mutual fund investment industry Strong interest in regulatory reporting requirements or financial statement reporting Experience related to fund accounting, including the ability to conduct technical review and interpretation of SEC rules, regulations, FAQs Experience overseeing the work of junior team members including coaching and mentoring

What we offer We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $66,900 to $136,600. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $80,300 to $155,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
