Your role and responsibilitiesThe Service Coordinator occupies an important position in the coordination of service projects and activities performed by the Motion & Drives Service Engineers team in Belgium and Luxembourg. You will coordinate and plan the provision of necessary resources, spare parts, and logistics for on-site service jobs, ensuring a seamless process from quotation to acceptance by the customer.Reporting to the Service Manager, during the operation of a service job, you will act as the key point of contact for the customer, Field Service Engineers, our factories, and external suppliers.Your main responsibilities:•\tPlanning Service Engineers’ maintenance interventions with our customers, inclusive of the logistics flow.•\tKeeping the team and customers informed of the progress and status of cases through clear and consistent communication.•\tActing as a key point of contact (via mail and telephone) for customers, service engineers, and all other stakeholders.•\tProviding work descriptions to engineers for performing services and preparing job safety plans where needed according to ISO and VCA norms.llowing up on all ongoing small projects to ensure effective project delivery.•\tManaging all required reporting and documentation and overseeing the timely registration of necessary data in the system.•\tReporting and taking required action towards our customers and sales team based on maintenance reporting.•\tIdentifying key improvement opportunities in products, services, and processes, and disseminating the findings.
Qualifications for the roleCan-do mentality, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach and effective written and spoken communication skills.Handle multiple tasks and efficiently use various tools, including Salesforce, SAP, and ABB’s proprietary tools.Ability to organize tasks with precision, remain effective in high-pressure environments, and prioritize responsibilities efficiently.Service related experience appreciated.Willing to develop both your planning skills and your technical affinity is key.Enthusiasm for exploring innovative technologies is essential.Fluent in Dutch or French and English.Effective communication skills with a customer.Proficiency with Microsoft Office. SAP is an asset.
