Additional Job DescriptionROLE OVERVIEW
Seeking a Business Analyst to champion our Service Blueprint initiatives, driving adherence and quality in blueprint development, implementation, and continuous improvement.
The role combines business analysis fundamentals with a good understanding of service design principles, process optimisation, and change management. The Blueprint Champion will play an important role in maintaining Service Blueprint Implementation standards across the organisation, while serving as a key individual in maintaining and promoting quality and standards adherence for Service Blueprint Development across the organisation.
KEY DELIVERABLES
Business Analysis and Process Optimisation:Apply BA skills (requirements gathering and understanding; process mapping; and critical thinking) to support blueprint development and implementationFacilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessionsDocument and analyse business and product processesCreate and maintain business requirements documentation and user stories. Blueprint Standards and Best Practices:Champion Service Blueprint Standards and Implementation Best PracticesManage and maintain the blueprint knowledge base (Confluence pages; “How to Guides”; etc…)Develop and update blueprint documentation and guidelinesIdentify opportunities for process improvements and automationStakeholder engagement across Chapters and Squads within OM Bank to ensure standards are relevant and effective from risk owners and adhered to by blueprint owners. Training and Capability Development:Develop and deliver training programs for business analysts and product ownersAddress skills gaps through targeted development initiatives (Skills specifically associated to blueprint development and establishment) Create and maintain training materials and resourcesSupport the development of blueprint-related competencies Governance and Change Management:Support blueprint governance processesParticipate in relevant forums and ceremoniesTrack and report on Blueprint implementationAssist with Change Management initiativesSupport communication strategiesROLE REQUIREMENTS
3+ years’ experience as a business analyst in technology projects and technology related roles (technology strategy; technology implementation; Consulting; software development and implementation roles) – NOT specific to Financial ServicesStrong understanding of Agile and SAFe methodologiesDocumentation and requirements gathering skills (Critical thinking)Experience with process mapping and optimisationStrong stakeholder management abilitiesProven track record (provide a basic case study of the experience) in training, workshopping, and running medium to large forums where you were facilitating some sort of training and showcaseKeen understanding and appreciation of change management controls and adherence to those controlsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsKey Competencies:

Translates business requirements into detailed functional specifications that undergo business stakeholder review.ResponsibilitiesRequirements ManagementIdentify, elicit, and document project/process requirements, using appropriate modeling technique, if required. Analyze requirements and validate with original users, eliminating confusion. Define the testing scripts and verification criteria to ensure requirements are met. Maintain documentation and traceability throughout project.
Data Collection and AnalysisUse data from a wide range of sources to analyze key themes and identify possible impacts on the business.
Database SpecificationsContribute to the approval process for database specifications to ensure all agreed standards and protocols are followed and data integrity is preserved.
Analysis of "As Is" and "To Be"Document "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.
Business Requirements IdentificationCollect business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis, to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.
Feasibility StudiesContribute to and support feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective, and document findings.
Horizon ScanningExplore and develop a basic understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
Enterprise Business AnalysisInterpret the business need and identify solution recommendations to business problems at a business unit level.
Business CaseCarry out feasibility and assessment work for proposed and current projects to contribute to the development and continuous review of business cases.
Documentation and BackupCreate and maintain technical and/or user documentation to a high standard, and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.
Culture of InnovationSupport a culture of innovation by contributing to solutions that boost creativity, innovation, and collaboration, such as idea generation platforms, jam sessions, and hackathons.
Personal Capability BuildingDevelop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
