Service and Repair Technician
**Job Description:** **Basic Function** Disassemble, clean, and reassemble devices that come into the Service and Repair Department. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** + Disassemble / Reassemble devices. Water wash appropriate parts. + Functional check re-assembled devices. + Perform pressure tests and helium leak tests, and repair meter by replacing parts if failure occurs. + Prepare devices for calibration. + Test devices to customer’s specifications. + Follow established procedures and processes. + Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures. + Complete paperwork, prepare devices for shipping and deliver to shipping department. + Ability to know when to escalate an issue to team lead. Take direction from team leads and management. + Able to work independently along with being able to make rational decisions. Keep work areas clean and organized and follow safety guidelines. + Log replaced parts in RMA tracker and MAPCIS, and update RMA tracker for completing status summary reports. + Proficient in utilizing the Brooks Instrument Business system. + Regular attendance and the ability to get along with others in a team environment. + Suggest improvements and modifications for process improvements. + Support Company continual improvement initiatives. + Other duties as assigned. **Tools and Equipment** Wrenches, screwdrivers, torque wrenches and basic computer programs. **Education and Experience** + Good computer skills with Microsoft Word and Excel experience a plus. + Experience of electro-mechanical parts assembly a plus. + Familiar with various hand tools and their application/use preferred. + High school diploma or GED equivalent required. + Minimum 2 years in product assembly and calibration required. + Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude preferred. + Familiarity with electronic measuring instruments preferred (DVM, Power Supplies). _ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
