Dealership:L0060 Lithia Nissan of Eugene Lithia Nissan of Eugene Eugene Nissan is looking for skilled service writers to join their team! Schedule: Must be flexible to work Mon-Sat. Exact schedule will be determined due to need. Pay: Commission/performance based. Those in the role currently are making $4k-$7k monthly. We are seeking skilled communicators who have the ability to connect with people and help them with whatever service they may need. Automotive experience is a must in this role, as you will be navigating conversations with both customers and technicians to find the best solution for whatever situation you are presented with! What We’re Looking For: + Must be able to proactively engage with customers, building strong relationships to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions. + Understanding of automotive repair and maintenance, particularly with Nissan vehicles. While not necessarily needing to be an expert mechanic, having the ability to grasp common issues and solutions is important. + Ability to identify and create upselling opportunities by understanding customer needs and recommending relevant parts and services. + Provide excellent communication and customer service skills by delivering excellent customer service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention + Eager to meet and exceed sales targets, particularly in upselling and increasing the average order value. + Ability to provide feedback and insights to the management team to improve sales strategies and customer experience + Experience in automotive advising or a sales role, preferably with our brand like Nissan. A passion for automobiles and the Nissan brand is preferred. + Computer savvy with the ability to use inventory management systems. CDK experience is a plus! Responsibilities: As a Service Advisor you will be responsible for initiating automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer records. + Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer’s needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer. + Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles. + Prepare repair orders (RO), obtaining approval signatures and entering RO into service database system. + Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection. + Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs. + Keeping customer informed of service specials, completion times and service expenses. ​ Qualifications: + Prefer 2 years of experience as a service advisor + Communication skills – communicates effectively with others. + Automotive aptitude and knowledge are preferred + Time management – managing one’s own time and time of others. + Typing – ability to type efficiently in order to enter repair orders. + Basic computer & cost calculation skills. + Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
