Server Assistant

Position: Ella Mae’s Diner – Server Assistant

Location: Fort Myers, FL

Reports to: Food & Beverage Outlet Manager, Assistant Food & Beverage Outlet Manager, Food & Beverage Supervisor

Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

Servers Assistants will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with the Luminary Hotel & Co. service standards and standards of Mainsail Lodging & Development. 

Essential Functions

Thorough knowledge of Ella Mae steps of service and guest interaction.Serves guests in an efficient courteous manner following the proper steps of serviceResponsible for setting tables, serving food orders and removing used plate ware and utensilsLight food running when applicable, ability to carry plates that may be warm or hotAbility to handle station, or when situations arise, ability to let manager/supervisor know ahead of time so as not to affect the guest experiencePolish glass ware, utensils, organize clean and soiled linenPerform other duties as management requests to service our guestsFollow and complete procedures as they relate to In Room Dining (IRD)Input order into POS system MicrosOrganize items and needs to be brought to room based on orderFollow Covid-19 guidelines set forth for delivery

Qualification Standards

Education & Experience

High School diploma or higherPrevious hospitality experience requiredExcellent customer service skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to use technology e.g. tablets, iPads 

Physical Demands

Ability to lift 20 pounds or moreAbility to sit or stand for extended periods of timeAbility to communicate clearlyCorrected vision to normal rangeAbility to work long hours as needed

NOTICE:  The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day.  All employees must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift as business demands.  In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
