Server Administrator
As the Server Administrator you will be part of a team that is responsible for supporting the entire organizational computing environment including hardware procurement and deployment, Tier 3 system support, project management of deployment and rehab projects and various assigned monitoring and management responsibilities. \n

Essential Functions & Requirements: \n\nPrioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and consistently maintaining safe practices\nProvides support for existing Active Directory infrastructure deployments\nProvides support for Group Policy management and group policy design\nUtilizes PowerShell to automate processes and changes in environment as required\nDesigns, deploys, and troubleshoots VMWare ESX servers as required\nDesigns, configures, and manages Windows and Linux virtual servers\nAdheres to and creates updates to process documentation as needed\nManages projects related to deployment of new servers and Active Directory changes \nDocuments configuration and monitors various aspects of server infrastructure via SolarWinds\nSupports ServiceDesk in resolving escalated tickets requiring specific technical knowledge\nProvides Tier 3 server troubleshooting and support, including on-call rotation, and after-hours support\nMaintains the ability to travel occasionally as needed up to 20%\nTakes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization\n\n

Education: \n\nHigh-school diploma or equivalent (required) \nBachelor's degree in information technology (preferred) \nVMWare Certification - VCP-DCV (preferred) \n\n

Experience: \n\n5+ years of experience with Active Directory \/ Group Policy management (required) \nTechnology experience (required): \n\nGroup Policy\nPowerShell Scripting \nWindows Server Configuration \/ Troubleshooting\nVMWare ESXi Configuration \/ Troubleshooting\nWindows Remote Desktop Services Server config \/ troubleshooting\nWindows Server as a Print Server\nExperience configuring VMWare clusters\n\nvSphere DRS\nvSphere Resource Allocation\nvSphere HA\n\n\nExperience with the Microsoft Cloud \n\nManaging Office 365 Tenant\nDesigning, Configuring, and Managing Azure Resources\n\n\nDNS \/ DHCP \/ GPO Login Scripts\n\n\n\n

Competencies: \n\nKnowledge of ITIL-based service delivery for Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Capacit Management and Configuration Management\nAbility to identify and resolve issues independently; demonstrates accountability and sound judgment\nHolds self and others accountable to a high standard \nEmploys Think-Plan-Do Review and critical-thinking process for all tasks, large or small \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nAbility to gain alignment with different stakeholders and represent a common view; ability to build strong business partnerships\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders\nRegular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role\n\n
