**Description:** You will be the Communications Rep for the Sensors & Global Sustainment Program **What You Will Be Doing** Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager for the Sensors & Global Sustainment line of business, this position will be responsible for developing and executing communications strategies within the Mission Systems portfolio\. Responsibilities include leading internal communications efforts that align with business objectives, executive communications support to senior leadership, counsel subject matter experts and program leaders on messaging and tactics, pursue and create engaging content for multiple channels, as well as measure and report results for continuous improvement\. • Plans, develops and executes executive communications strategies • Develops program/capture and employee engagement communications strategies as required • Develops integrated communication plans for significant program milestones • Responsible for employee communications associated with sensor programs • Plans, prepares, writes and disseminates information across all internal channels and to be leveraged in integrated communications efforts • Submits photographs; assigns and/or approves artwork • Participate and support advertising campaigns, and/or edit material for organization publications **Why Join Us** We're looking for a collaborative and creative Communications Specialist to join our team\. CITIZEN \- The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance\. **Basic Qualifications:** Bachelors degree in Communications, Broadcast Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or similar major along with 5 years of related professional level experience or 3 years with a Masters Exceptional communications skills with strong writing and editing ability\. Experience in supporting and providing trusted council to senior executives; leading and developing integrated strategic communications efforts across internal and external channels\. Ability to multi\-task and work well under pressure\. Able to plan, organize and support media relations, marketing, employee communications, trade show, social media and multimedia activities\. Possesses strong strategic communications instincts, media relations experience and basic multi\-platform social media skills\. Must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance\. **Desired Skills:** Knowledge of the domestic and international aerospace and defense industries\. Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and business practices desirable\. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process\. **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\.
