AWS Security Specialist Organization is seeking a passionate and experienced security professional to help our customers build and enhance their security incident response capabilities in the cloud. You'll help customers design, implement, and optimize their threat detection and incident response programs while leveraging AWS's comprehensive security services portfolio.

As a Worldwide Specialist for AWS Security Services, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon’s cloud computing platform within the Enterprise, SMB, and Startup communities. Your responsibilities will include helping to define innovative programs & initiatives to enable customers with their security in the cloud journey. You’ll also work closely with the product/service teams to help them evolve the products/services and address issues, concerns, and requests from the field.

The ideal candidate will have both a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact with software developers and architects. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and scrappiness is a must. You will serve as key member of AWS Security Specialist team, helping to drive overall AWS market and technical strategy. Set a strategic go-to-market plan for target markets and ensure it's in line with the AWS strategic direction.
Execute the strategic go-to-market plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales teams, service teams, legal, support, etc.)

About the team
The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customer's most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses.

Key job responsibilities
- Define requirements and deliver on programs enabling AWS Security Services in market segments, customer base, and industry verticals we target.
- Create and successfully drive awareness, adoption, and usage of AWS Security Services through innovative and effective programs, including events, webinars, online marketing campaigns, lead generation programs, promotions, etc.
- Incubate the business pipeline by engaging with prospects, partners, and key customers.
- Design and execute integrated inbound and outbound campaigns with the aim of acquiring and retaining customers.
- Manage the implementation, tracking and measurement of customer journey.
- Develop persona-specific messaging and positioning in close cooperation with key stakeholders and translate messaging into meaningful collateral.
- Collect and use data to inform new initiatives and the evaluation of existing campaigns
- Work closely with the customer base to ensure they are successful using our web services, by making sure they have the technical resources required.
- Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of our product offerings.
- Develop and evangelize best practices, patterns, and state-of-the-art techniques broadly within the AWS customer base.
- Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to closing new customers.
