Interior Architecture & Design – Full Time
JLL Design Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a senior level designer to join our interiors studio. We are looking for a curious creative who will contribute to the growth of our business through the development of smart, innovative and on-brand environments for our clients.
The Senior Workplace Designer coordinates the successful management of the design solution across multiple projects, serving as the creative lead, producer and client liaison. This individual drives the creative thought and ideation process, pulls together innovative solutions and documents final output throughout all phases of the design process.
Qualifications & Skills:
8+ years’ experience working on commercial Interior Design projects.Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field.NCIDQ Certification preferred.Fluent in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.Extensive knowledge of building codes and accessibility guidelines. Ability to research codes in various jurisdictions.Excellent client communication and management skills.Excellent space planning skills, with focus on creating efficiencies while driving innovative planning.Impressive portfolio with primary experience in workplace design. Healthcare “light,” industrial or innovation center design a plus.Strong and confident ability to visually convey ideas, present and guide client decision making.Entrepreneurial attitude - must be self-motivated and self-managed and have the ability to multi-task and organize several projects at a given time.Passionate about design and ability to think conceptually and realistically.Excellent listening and problem-solving skills.Able to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.Ability to excel under pressure to meet deadlines and prioritize assignments.Team player, culture-builder.Solves challenges through insightful and creative design solutions across corporate workplace environments.Seeks out and responds well to feedback and direction from others.Ability to work both independently and within the fabric of a design team.Responsibilities:
Develop creative, buildable and budget-appropriate design concepts that can be successfully measured against creative brief.Lead Client visioning, ideation and creative solutioning sessions.Own the full design lane of working with client to develop and drive concept development, create and present design solutions and coordinate a complete set of contract documents independently or as part of a team.Lead and drive the creative process to extract the ask, define and create the solution and document the outcome.Communicate concepts and ideas to others through written, drawn and verbal means.Partner regularly with Studio Lead as needed for the completion of assigned projects and serve as a Mentor to other design peers.Collaborate with Studio Leads and Senior Design Director to contribute to proposal content and workflow planning.Expected 10%-15% travel to project sites as required.Estimated total compensation for this position:
