Senior Workforce Compliance Manager

 

 

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: An hour north of Denver and ideally situated between Boulder, Fort Collins, and Greeley, JBS is the largest company headquartered in Colorado, and one of the largest food companies in the world. We are seeking a Senior Workforce Compliance Manager with expertise in labor laws and employment regulations, ideally with a focus on FLSA and state counterparts.

 

The Senior Workforce Compliance Manager will be primarily responsible for monitoring, enhancing, and reporting on enterprise-wide policies, processes, trainings, and audits regarding compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and company policies relevant to both employees and third-party contractors. The successful candidate will be able to work within a cross-functional team to effectively and efficiently implement proposed enhancements, mitigate identified risks, and further the evolution of compliance initiatives across the organization.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Policy & Process Development and ReviewDraft and revise various company policies and procedures related to workforce compliance to ensure alignment with all applicable labor laws, employment regulations, and company standardsRisk Assessment & ReportingIdentify areas of non-compliance and provide detailed written reports with corrective action recommendations that are developed in coordination with key internal stakeholders (i.e. Security, Human Resources, Ethics & Compliance)Collaborate with site leadership to implement, track, and report on corrective actionsMonitor compliance trends and escalate concerns as necessaryTraining & EducationPartner with Human Resources, Operations, and Ethics & Compliance teams to review, develop, and implement trainings and postings on workforce compliance requirements and best practicesCollaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure dissemination of workforce compliance expectations throughout the enterprise Workforce Compliance AuditsAssess hiring/contracting practices, employment records, screening processes, and on-site labor conditions to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulationsReview, enhance, and implement workforce audit protocols and conduct multiple onsite workforce compliance audits both employees and third-party contractors at manufacturing facilities and other related locations throughout the U.S.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, compliance, or a related field required; J.D. preferredMinimum 3-5 years of labor/employment law experienceDemonstrated ability to conduct workforce audits and internal investigationsSkills & KnowledgeStrong understanding of labor laws, employment regulations, and compliance requirementsExcellent analytical skills and attention to detailStrong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work well independently and on a teamAbility to effectively manage multiple work streams and deadlinesExcellent research and writing skills, with the ability to explain complex legal topics to non-lawyersProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteFluency in Spanish is a plusOther Requirements:Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to manufacturing plants and related locationsSuperior ethical judgment and commitment to confidentialityCan perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodationAs a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule; Base salary range of $110,000 - $150,000; Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and Career Development: Our company is dedicated to supporting professional growth by offering continuous learning opportunities and a focus on career growth through various learning and development programs.
