The Senior Windows Desktop Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining a standardized end-point solution for our corporate users. This engineer will be heavily involved in the company's Windows 11 deployments and maintenance regarding customization and optimization using Microsoft Intune. They will work closely with Management, Endpoint Engineering, and the Service Desk team to gather the business needs, design, build and test the enterprise images and packages for production deployment.  

  

This position can work in the Arlington or Richmond, VA office and offers a hybrid schedule of 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.  

  

Responsibilities   

OS image creation using Intune/Autopilot 

Packaging of Business Line Applications to support Windows 11  

Support Enterprise Rollout of Security and Software automation using Intune, Bigfix and GPOs  

Hardware platform evaluation and configuration  

Handle endpoint escalation tickets  

  

Basic Qualifications  

Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college.    

A track record of commitment to prior employers   

3+ years managing Windows endpoints  

Experience with CIS endpoint security best practices  

Expertise in setting up, automating, and deploying Windows images 

Ability to troubleshoot Windows problems in a mobile environment  

Ability and experience understanding log files for troubleshooting 

Ability to multi-task with solid analytics and problem-solving skills  

Understanding of automation scripting using Powershell in Windows  

Experience creating App protection policies, configuration policies, onboarding and deploying apps in Microsoft Intune   

Troubleshooting phone support experience   

Excellent time management skills and commitment to follow through on trouble issues to successful, verified resolution   

Creative & innovative thinker with the ability to provide solutions to complex problems 

Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Ability to write concise and detailed documentation 

Strong customer service focus and excellent interpersonal skills 

  

Preferred Qualifications and Skills  

Experience in Citrix environment   

Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
