We are looking for a driven and curious Senior Process Engineer to work on wastewater projects. As a Senior Process Engineer on our team, you will work with a core group of wastewater engineers and designers on project pursuits, studies, designs, and field assignments to deliver innovative solutions to challenging technical problems that our clients face. You will work collaboratively with our team to complete the following: • Evaluation and selection of treatment processes, process evaluations, and process equipment selection • Serve as technical support for future project pursuits and proposal development • Interacting with clients to learn and provide solutions to their problems • Development of facility layouts and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) • Development of construction documents, including drawings and specifications • Data analysis and heat and material balances • Technical report writing • Field inspection of mechanical equipment You will also use your leadership skills to work with diverse, technical teams to deliver challenging projects while serving and developing clients across the United States and internationally. Jacobs has a strong technical water/wastewater treatment background, and you will have the opportunity to connect to and work with our technical experts across the company. • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, environmental, or chemical engineering or related engineering discipline • Hold an active Professional Engineer (PE) license • A minimum of 15 years of progressive process mechanical engineering and project delivery experience with wastewater and/or industrial treatment, including planning, evaluations, and design • Educational emphasis and a strong interest in wastewater process system design and operation • Self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis skills, technical problem-solving ability, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment • Proficient skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Successful experience with working with remote domestic and international staff Ideally, you’ll also have: • Experience specific to municipal wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems • 20 or more years of direct experience as a process engineer with residuals resource recovery expertise • Ability to serve as the technical liaison between the project owner and design team • Desire to mentor junior staff Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
