It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement. We are currently looking for an experienced professional to join the Employee Relations Team.
Job Introduction:
To plan, manage and execute India Bank’s Employee Industrial Relations’ strategy and policies, to support change transformation while maintaining a harmonious working environment within the organization. To ensure that decisions taken in this regard are compliant with local legislations, and the Group’s guidelines that apply.
Principal Responsibilities:
Provide strategic advisory to business on labor employment aspects in key transformation / change initiativesSupport the larger HR Team / Business Managers with queries pertaining to labor employment laws and anchoring the governance responsibility for HR/ER owned policies/guidelines/processesSupport the design implementation of HR / ER policies in compliance with local labor laws, regulations, new labor codes and Group guidelines.Implement and act as a custodian of the important internal policies such as the Global Consequence Management Framework, The INM Disciplinary Policy, Policy on Prohibition / Prevention Redressal of Sexual Harassment, Grievance Redressal, Code of Conduct etc.Undertake HR/ER investigations (HSBCC, Executive Escalations, Misconduct, Grievance etc…) across the country / Region along with focus on documentation defined governance process.Act as an advisor to subsidiary companies across India including HR businessManage Trade Union relations strategy including the internal Federation external trade unionsEffectively engage and manage relationships with legal counsels; work on litigation strategy with respect to employment disputes; ownership accountability for outcomesWork closely with the Head of ER on union negotiationsRepresent HSBC before all the Govt. authorities, Courts Tribunals in inquiries, inspections and litigations.Engage with the local Union leadership, and with Award Staff in the areasManage IR situations on the ground in the event of a conflict with internal or external Unions.Oversee contract staff / outsourcing engagement by business, ensuring compliance with applicable legislations and internal guidelines.Some careers open more doors than others.
