Principal Responsibilities
Manage Business Performance (PL and Drivers): Conduct deep dives on Product and Segments performance, provide analysis and insights to business opportunities; develop compelling business case and narratives to support strategic recommendation and facilitate informed decision makingProvide strategic guidance on Cost and Headcount Management: effectively manage operational efficiency through establishing governance framework, robust reviews of expense lines, and underlying drivers. Exercise tight cost controls across business (direct and indirect), on both project related cost and run the bank cost. Lead the identification execution of cost optimization initiatives within IWPB to drive efficiency gain and cost reduction across IWPB Singapore and deliver cost and headcount planLead financial modelling and driver-based forecasting and provide oversight to the annual budgeting process: Partner with Data, Products and Customer Segments teams to develop and enhance financial models and forecasting processes to guide the IWPB financial planning and resource allocationsDesign and maintain a dynamic performance-based framework with key performance indicators that reflect IWPB’s objectives and drive accountability across teamsCollaborate with IWPB lines of business (Asset Management, Private Bank, Retail Bank and Insurance) and support functions to ensure alignment and delivery of financial goals and operational strategies including cost management and initiativesCoordinate the preparation of business presentations such as internal business reviews, strategy plan, offsites, audit, engagement with regulators and external partiesActively participate in and support ad hoc projects including strategic reviews, planning, management information (MI), and governanceDrive cyclical activities, internal event (eg. virtual and physical townhalls) as well as ad-hoc/ special projects related to Business ManagementPreparation of committee/forum papers and presentationsEnsure that the needs of stakeholders in the Group, or external stakeholders such as regulators, are understood and satisfied efficiently and effectivelySupport the Head of IWPB in developing and refining WPB strategic and tactical initiatives to achieve FRP targets and long terms objectivesPartner with Distribution / Channels to continuously improve, driving wealth penetration and RM productivity through various initiatives and developmentInvestigate and remediate for discrete issues which may adversely affect the business performanceManages and leads a cohesive team that is aligned to the business areas they support and works collaboratively with colleagues in regional and global teamsSelf-starter, term oriented, collaborative, with ability to manage complex cross-functional projects/ initiatives and multiple stakeholders across all levelsThrive in a fast-paced environment, work independently, outcome oriented, prioritize deliverables to meet timeline efficiently, and able to adapt to changes in priorities quicklySuperior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, attention to detail and ability to structure and analyse data Strong business acumen, able to comprehensive and articulate complex business issuesExcellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilitiesExcellent stakeholder management – able to independently engage with senior stakeholders across array of topicsAn effective team leader through clear communication, performance management, development plans and rewards/recognition.
