Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic senior leader to develop and oversee the technology strategy and implementation for Foodbuy and Foodbuy LLC, divisions of Compass Group North America. This will be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of how technology can drive procurement value. The individual will lead a team of over 100 professionals and 80 contractors. The leader in this role is responsible for advising business leaders and implementing innovative technologies to fuel a world class procurement engine. A key focus will be re-engineering the e-procurement system to enhance user experience for members, Compass Sectors, and Foodbuy team members, and driving adoption. This critical role reports to the Chief Technology Officer and is located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Technology Strategy and Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap for food procurement, to drive the overall business objectives of Foodbuy and Compass USA. Drive change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies across the organization.
+ System Implementation: Identify and lead the effort to modernize and implement new procurement technologies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems to optimize procurement processes and supplier management.
+ Stakeholder Influence and Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including procurement, supply chain, and IT teams, to ensure alignment and support for technology initiatives.
+ Data Management: Oversee the management and analysis of procurement data to drive decision-making and optimize procurement activities. Leverage data analytics and predictive insights to enhance decision making, risk management and cost savings.
+ Vendor Management: Identify, engage and collaborate with technology vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions and services.
+ Peer and Team Leadership: Inspire and lead a high-performing team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.
+ Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of technology initiatives and identify areas for improvement. Enhance automation capabilities to reduce manual processes and improve cycle times.
Qualifications and Experience:
+ 10+ years of experience in technology leadership, with a strong background in procurement, supply chain, or enterprise systems.
+ Experience modernizing and scaling procurement systems. Proven track record in developing and executing digital transformation initiatives in a procurement or supply chain environment.
+ Expertise in procurement technologies, including ERP systems (SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle), AI, RPA, and data analytics tools.
+ Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management, and contract lifecycle management.
+ Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and change management skills.
+ Proven large scale financial and technology budget management
