About the Role

As a Senior UX Researcher, you will lead major research projects that shape our core legal technology products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence product strategy, and drive research initiatives that enhance user experiences. Using your expertise in various UX research methodologies, you will provide valuable insights to inform product development and business decisions.

We are looking for an experienced UX researcher who thrives in a collaborative environment, can navigate corporate structures, and has a strategic mindset. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading research initiatives, mentoring junior researchers, and turning insights into actionable recommendations.

Reporting into the Lead UX Researcher, this is a permanent full-time role, to be based in Chatswood Sydney head office, along with a hybrid home/office arrangement to support a healthy work-life balance.

Responsibilities

Lead UX research projects to understand user behaviours, needs, and motivations.

Develop research strategies aligned with product and design goals.

Apply a range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

Analyse research findings and provide actionable insights for product teams.

Collaborate with UX Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to enhance user experience.

Present research insights to stakeholders and influence business decisions.

Identify opportunities for UX improvements through competitor analysis and market trends.

Mentor junior UX researchers and foster a culture of research excellence.

Requirements

A degree in Psychology, Human Factors, Anthropology, Human Geography, or a related field.

6-8 years of experience as a UX Researcher or User Researcher.

Strong expertise in UX research methodologies (e.g., ethnography, JTBD, diary studies, conjoint analysis).

Demonstrated experience working in a product development environment.

Ability to analyse complex data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders across different business levels.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a corporate setting.
