What you’ll do

 

As a Senior User Experience Designer at SAP Design System, you will work on UX Concepts for SAP Design System. You will ensure the applicability of your designs, working closely with technology and product teams within SAP and exposing concepts and designs to stakeholders, customers and end users for feedback.

You will define and communicate new responsive interaction concepts or build upon and extend existing concepts on the level of components, patterns and page layouts. Abstracting and generalizing requirements is necessary to ensure relevance and scalability of your work. One key task is the preparation of specifications and enablement assets (e.g. UX guidelines) for UX design components.

As a strong team player and with solid know-how you will drive projects from idea to high quality outcomes. This role requires a strong understanding of visual methodologies and the ability to craft compelling and perfectly executed concepts, which you will support throughout the development life cycle.

 

What you bring

 

We are now looking for you as a passionate User Experience Designer to join us in driving an appealing transformation for our users and products. Our expectations would be:

Bachelor or Master in Visual Design, Graphic Design, Interface Design, Industrial Design, Media Design and/or related and proven relevant experience in the field. 3-5 years of professional experience in application design or design systems for software solutions Strong design skills and the ability to create compelling visuals to support design decisions with ease Proven track record in visual design for applications and/or design systems Ability to drive user research and apply user-centric design methodologies Present, visualize and communicate ideas and concepts at different design stages in a clear, appealing and structured way to support design decisions A strong design portfolio that displays a spectrum of creative design solutions Willingness to continuously broaden your horizon on design methodologies, technology innovations, and business scenarios Proven experience and proficiency with tools, such as Figma and Adobe Suite Experience and motivation to work in a diverse and global organization Have excellent communication skills, growth mindset and a positive self-motivated, can-do attitude.

 

In this role you will

 

Explore, define, and maintain SAP´s Design System to ensure consistency across all channels and platforms Support the whole life cycle of the components including documentation. Build relationships and collaborate closely with SAP´s UX community to enable designers to implement their designs at scale Support young talents by teaming up with them and providing actionable feedback that boosts their growth. Focus on an inclusive mindset and apply accessibility standards Explore creative design and tech trends and styles.

The SAP Design System Team is focused on evolving the SAP Design System, the design language, and best practices.

Our mission is to increase the consistency, quality, and accessibility of our products, and the productivity and innovation (including AI) for our product teams.

Using the InnerSource collaboration model together with our partners across design and technology, we create and maintain a library of coded, reusable components that allows us to easily build and ship web and mobile applications. We also create standards, enablement, and tracking that allows for increased adoption of the SAP Design System.
