Your Opportunity
Stantec Consulting Services Inc. is actively seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering team in the Lexington, Kentucky office!

This is a part-time position. As a Senior Transportation Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of planning and design projects as an integral team member. The ideal candidate will lead traffic engineering, transportation safety, and transportation planning projects.

Your Key Responsibilities
•    Performing as a senior technical lead in analysis related to corridor studies, access management, complete streets, transportation comprehensive planning, and traffic engineering.
•    This position may perform project management duties on planning studies which would include client and sub consultant coordination, making presentations to stakeholders, attending client meetings and visiting project sites.
•    This position may include supervision of technical staff and requires the ability to interact and communicate effectively with clients and public agencies.
•    Client management and development including coordinating project pursuits, proposal preparation and negotiation.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
•    Effective in building and maintaining client relationships
•    Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation
•    Writing and reviewing technical reports to clearly document the study process and results. 
•    Experience using GIS
•    May assist in the preparation of proposals and other marketing endeavors.
•    Preferred Qualifications: Experience with KYTC Division of Planning on transportation projects 
Education and Experience
•    Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering
•    Registered Professional Engineer in Kentucky
•    Minimum of 20 years of experience

Typical office environment working with computers. Some travel is required to attend client meetings. May occasionally visit study areas, construction sites and/or be exposed to outside elements and inclement weather conditions.
