**Job Description:**
**Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented** **Senior Traffic Engineer** **to join our team! In this role you will get to work on large TxDOT projects in Texas with a world-class team of Engineers.**
**What You'll Be Doing:**
**Reviews work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed and quality is acceptable. Monitors productivity and technical proficiency of assigned personnel. Makes staffing assignments and reassignments as project needs arise.**
**Conducts performance evaluations, takes corrective action as necessary, recommends promotions and salary actions, and recommends training and development for assigned personnel.**
**Helps to define scope of work, design criteria, schedule, standards, and procedures for project assignments.**
**Determines budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.**
**Provides technical direction, making decisions and/or obtaining additional technical staff assistance as the situation warrants. This may include obtaining the services of consultants.**
**Promotes technical excellence on the project, including furthering the Quality Improvement Process.**
**Ensures that adequate checking is performed in accordance with discipline checking policy and procedures.**
**Ensures that discipline design work is coordinated with project staff and Engineers from other disciplines by maintaining clear and frequent communications.**
**Advises engineering and project management regarding any problem areas, staffing requirements, delays in production, scope changes, or other events which could effect project completion and/or profitability.**
**Initiates and/or reviews change order requests for additions, deletions, or changes to the original scope of work.**
**Recommends design methods, equipment use, etc., for discipline standards.**
**Supervises the production of project drawings and design calculations.**
**Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.**
**Recommends and prepares technical papers.**
**Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate**
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
**Texas PE**
**10 or more years of related experience**
**Hands-on expert in VISSIM and Synchro**
**Hands-on expert in TxDOT safety analysis**
**Has led and completed the TxDOT traffic modeling and analyses for TxDOT Schematic/Env projects including Interstate Highway, US, SH, and FM roads from beginning to end**
**Has completed an IAJR for TxDOT Schematic/Env projects in the recent 5 years from beginning to end.**
**Familiar with state and local guidelines and procedures for traffic projections and traffic impact analyses.**
**Preferred but not required: experience in traffic signal design, knowledge of roadway signage and pavement marking plans, and an understanding of construction phasing and sequencing.**

Salary Range: $108,700.00 - $190,200.00
