As our Senior Test Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by:

Define and lead the QA strategy across complex projects, ensuring comprehensive test coverage, reliability, and timely product delivery. Architect, develop, and maintain a robust and scalable test automation framework, driving automation across our testing processes. Provide technical leadership for a global QA team, mentoring engineers, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between quality initiatives, business objectives, and stakeholder expectations. Drive the implementation of automation and continuous integration frameworks, optimizing test coverage and improving efficiency. Proactively identify opportunities to improve test automation, introduce new tools, and enhance testing methodologies. Oversee end-to-end quality processes, from test planning to execution and release validation, ensuring the highest standards of product quality. Troubleshoot complex technical issues, lead root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution of defects. Champion the adoption of test-driven development (TDD) and other industry best practices, ensuring they are integrated into the QA processes. Lead process improvements, collaborating with product management and development teams to ensure product features meet performance, security, and reliability standards.

 

What we will love about your background: 

Deep understanding of QA methodologies and techniques, including white, gray, and black box testing. Experience managing automated test environments and continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering scalable, high-quality solutions. Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a track record of guiding and developing automation frameworks. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders.

 

Your Experience and Education include:  

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5 + years of hands-on software quality assurance experience, with at least 3-5 years in automation. Proven experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks from the ground up, including scripting, debugging, and maintaining automation test suites. Expertise in functional, automation, and regression testing, with experience driving quality strategies across large-scale projects.

The base salary in the California area is $107,800 to $118,500
