Play a significant role in customer solutions

As the Senior Wellhead Services Technical Leader, you will focus on leading the preparation and execution of operations related to our subsea wellhead systems (WCS) and TLP systems in country drive collaborations between the different OTR, Manufacturing, Workshop in order to deliver quality services & products and services to our customers. In this role, you will be representing our Subsea Projects & Services business as the Senior Technical Leader allocated to customers and leading our teams installing our subsea wellheads systems, making sure our services delivery meets our customer expectations.  This role reports to the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) Service Delivery Manager.

As the Senior Technical Leader you will also be responsible for:

Owning the resolution of post-sales technical customer issues by handling all escalations and leveraging relevant engineering infrastructureImplementing lessons learned, driving closure for technical investigations and implementation of preventive measures. Maintaining up-to-date manuals and drawings to support installation of all kit.Collaborating with Baker Hughes Global Engineering & Operations teams to update and seek clarifications on manuals.Ensuring field engineers are up to date on installation practices, provides support to field technicians during troubleshooting/etc. Escalating field issues to Global Experts and seeking support during job execution to avoid serious NPT events. Actively monitoring operations on both rigs and providing field support. Debriefing after each job and capturing learnings and opportunities. Proactively taking initiative to resolve issues, able to lead investigations and recommend improvements, able to improve tool reliability/operability/success. Maintaining project schedules and actively forecasting and tracks capital equipment, tools, spares, and consumables needed for operations. Directing contact/communication with global shops to obtain manufacturing/logistics updates. Working jointly with Customer Well Engineers to ensure right equipment is selected, ordered, and meets timelines. Taking action to expedite equipment that is behind schedule or at schedule risk. Communicating with workshop to ensure planned equipment and tools are prepared and inspected in a timely manner prior to load out.

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical related subjectSignificant experience in Technical Support. Have deep domain expertise in our field of products including Subsea Wellheads & Premium Connectors operations, or/and in TLP Systems & Surface Pressure Control Systems. Have proven ability to troubleshoot equipment failures & operational failures in order to find solutions to restore operations for our customers. Have proven ability as an inhouse resource for an operator i.e., IOCs preferably, with the capacity to provide in-house support to a large international operator. Have proven ability to communicate with external stakeholders in order deliver solutions to our customers and lead the troubleshooting of issues in the field. Possess solid communication skills with a close working relationship with the Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality teams.
