Description We are looking for an entry level Staff Tax Accountant to join our team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations while providing expert tax planning and advisory services. This is an exciting opportunity for a meticulous individual to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative environment. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and businesses, covering federal, state, and local levels. • Conduct in-depth tax research and stay informed about the latest changes in tax laws and regulations. • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to help clients minimize liabilities. • Assist with tax audits, including preparing documentation and managing communication with tax authorities. • Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure accurate and compliant tax reporting. • Utilize tools such as CCH ProSystem Fx, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel for tax preparation and analysis. • Provide insights and recommendations through ad hoc reporting to support decision-making. • Ensure corporate tax compliance, including adherence to income tax filing requirements. • Support compliance audits by preparing detailed reports and addressing any identified issues. Requirements • Degree in Accounting and internship experience • Proficiency in tax software such as CCH ProSystem Fx and accounting tools like QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and its application in financial reporting. • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations. • Ability to conduct thorough tax research and provide actionable recommendations. • Experience with compliance audits and corporate income tax processes. • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail. • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams, clients, and auditors.
