Senior Tailored Lending Officer

**Job Summary**
Under minimal supervision, the Tailored Lending Officer will use extensive knowledge and skills obtained through formal education and/or work-related experience to create customized lending solutions for high-net worth (HNW) and ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients of the firm. The ideal candidate will help lead sales efforts within the Tailored Lending department and will be responsible for educating clients, financial advisors (FAs), and other internal partners on various product offerings. Additionally, the candidate will lead “live” deals from start to finish, with duties encompassing the assessment of potential opportunities, evaluating borrowers (both quantitatively and qualitatively), analyzing collateral, and ensuring the proposed structure fits within prescribed Tailored Lending credit risk parameters. The successful candidate will partner with underwriters on deal analysis, due diligence, and credit memos, playing a lead role in determining and recommending the optimal credit solution. The position will require ongoing management of portfolio risk and will require continuous and proactive work to improve portfolio quality and prevent loss. This individual will work with a high level of autonomy and is accountable for ensuring the quality and reliability of work performed.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Provide tailored lending solutions for firm clients to meet liquidity needs without disrupting long term financial plans
+ Educate financial advisors and clients alike on Tailored Lending product offerings, deal structures, and all related documentation requirements.
+ Build, grow, and maintain a large portfolio of Tailored loans while maintaining credit discipline and sound portfolio management throughout the lifecycle of each transaction
+ Make deal structure recommendations in a calm and professional manner; work to identify alternatives when necessary to exceed client expectations throughout the inquiry process
+ Analyze client needs for other potential financial services; promote additional bank products and other affiliate relationships
**Knowledge of**
+ Underwriting regulations and policies, financial spreading, creation of Credit Approval Memoranda, covenant monitoring and other loan portfolio management responsibilities.
+ Advanced knowledge of self-employed income analysis, including review of cash flows derived from pass-through entities.
+ Analysis of lending solutions available to clients supported by securities, restricted stock, life insurance and derivative transactions, including analyses of trading volume, bond ratings, pricing and other factors.
+ Unique borrowing structures, such as various trust entities, corporations, LLCs, partnerships, personal holding companies, and not for profit entities
+ Prior credit authority delegation preferred.
+ Commercial credit experience preferred.
+ Principles, practices, concepts and procedures of underwriting, mortgages, banking and financial markets and products.

+ Research and analyze financial statements, perform complex tax return analysis, interpret findings and prepare reports of financial position and credit worthiness.

Bachelor’s: Accounting, Bachelor’s: Business Administration, Bachelor’s: Finance
