Internal Job Title: Senior Engineer, Product Lifecycle
Position Summary:
We are looking for driven, motivated Product Engineers to join our growing Life Cycle Management (LCM) team to support the development and manufacture of sequencing and genotyping consumables. The Product Engineer will partner with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Customer Support and R&D to develop, sustain and improve delivered products, ensuring our customers are getting the best consumables on the market.
Responsibilities:
Characterize product health and develop key metrics to drive efficiency and robustness improvements in manufacturingDrive advanced analytics with knowledge in biological assays for process and subsequent product improvement and customer experienceCollaborate with Development, Process Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and other departments as needed to address issues with manufacturing yield, quality and product designDevelop and implement new processes and tools to provide product manufacturing data to the companyProvide leadership and expertise as the internal SME for product manufacture and serve as the point of contact for manufacturing and product health issuesLead data analytics and development projects to improve process and product healthModel industrial working practice and coach junior team membersProvide technical input on information system architecture and functional assaysAssist in defining technical requirements for new productsAll listed tasks and responsibilities are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional tasks and responsibilities.
Preferred Requirements:
Strong data analysis skills and a logical approach to problem solvingAbility to understand data in whatever format it’s presented, and effectively use it to communicate a story and drive actionStrong programming skills (SQL, R, Python) and statistical knowledge (statistical tests etc.)Familiarity with Statistical Process Control and DOE techniquesExperienced in visualization tools e.g. TableauExpert user of Excel, proficient in Word, Outlook, PowerPointWet-lab training experience in molecular technology e.g. RT-PCR, library preparation, Microarrays, Next Generation Sequencing etc, is a plusRelevant experience with big multi-omics datasets e.g. genomics, single cell/spatial genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, lipidomics, glycomics, metabolomics etc is a plusRelevant experiences with HPC, distributed computing, AWS Redshift, Linux OS is a plusRelevant experiences with medical device development e.g. instrument, control software, assay product etc. is a plusExperience in one or more of the following fields is a plus: Oligo Manufacturing, Reagent Formulation, MEMS/Semiconductor Fabrication, Materials, or other high-tech, high-volume consumables manufacturingCompetencies:

Preferred Experience/Education:
