Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a senior systems engineer for the Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services contract, supporting the Air Force Division.
JOB DETAILS
LOCATION: San Antonio, TX
TRAVEL: 5%
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Masters degree and 12 years of directly related experience, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 15 years of directly related experience in lieu of masters degree, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 20 years’ experience in lieu of degree.Top secret clearance with SCI eligibility.Bachelor or masters degree in a rigorous technical discipline.US government acquisition experience required.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Modeling and simulation experience desired.Jira and Confluence experience desired.Cyber, IT, or software development experience desired.
 RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Provide system engineering, support, & training for offensive cyber programs and initiatives, including acquisition, development, integration, test & evaluation, sustainment, evolution, deployment, and operations oversightConduct reviews on program portfolio improving systems engineering programs/processes assuring performance is achieved IAW approved specificationsDefine and specify new capabilities tailored to customer's mission needsPrepare technical documents which define, specify, and recommend system/subsystem characteristicsPrepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective actions Perform system validation, including criteria development/proceduresProvide engineering support services and inputs to program and project risk management activities in compliance with USAF processes
