The Opportunity

L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems Australia is currently seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to assist with the planning and execution of system engineering activities within current complex engineering projects in electronic warfare. 

Responsibilities include:

Work in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the timely and professional delivery of project outcomes.Development of product and system architectures including both hardware and software capabilitiesRequirements management for all projects, including capture and decomposition of requirements Plan and participate in formal and informal system modellingEnsure program compliance with technical, quality and safety requirementsLead and participate in the planning, preparation and conduct of effective testing and verification programsLead and participate in the generation of formal bids and quotationsCommunicate effectively with customers and present design details during internal and customer reviewsReview project schedules and meet financial and time constraintsPlan and participate in internal company processes e.g. non-conformance reports, failure reports, etc.

What you’ll bring:

Degree in electronic/electrical engineering or similar discipline. Post-graduate qualifications in Systems Engineering desirable.More than 6 years experience in a System Engineering roleDemonstrated experience across the system engineering life cycleExperience with requirements management toolsExperience with systems architecture tools desirableKnowledge of systems architecture frameworks such as DoDAF and standards such as MOSA/SOSAKnowledge of model based systems engineering desirableExperience in the planning and conduct of customer technical reviewsRegistered as RPEQ, or eligible to apply and obtain RPEQ registrationAbility to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary teamExcellent computer and communication skills
