Job Title: Senior Systems Analyst - Data Centre
Job Type: 6-month contract (possibility of extensions)
Location: Remote (preference is for a candidate from Atlantic Canada)
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week
Hourly Rate: Negotiable

Position Summary:
The Senior Systems Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing systems and processes that support the Data Centre's infrastructure. This includes managing hardware, software, networking, security, and data storage systems. A primary focus will be assisting the Data Centre (DC) Manager in tackling technical debt across the environments.
 
Responsibilities:
  Infrastructure Management Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Data Centre hardware and software. Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability of the Data Centre. Manage and optimize the Data Centre's physical and virtual infrastructure. Data Management: Design and implement data storage solutions that ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility. Develop and maintain backup and recovery processes. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and company policies. Security: Implement and manage security measures to protect Data Centre assets and data. Networking: Manage the Data Centre’s networking infrastructure. Ensure network performance, reliability, and security. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues. System Analysis and Design: Analyze current systems and processes and identify areas for improvement. Design and implement system enhancements and new solutions. Create detailed system documentation and diagrams. Technical Debt Remediation: Assist the DC Manager in identifying and tackling technical debt, including server patching, expired/expiring infrastructure, and other areas needing remediation. Collaborate on and participate in executing remediation plans. Develop standing operating procedures (SOPs) to prevent future technical debt. Support and Maintenance: Provide technical support and troubleshooting oversight for Data Centre operations teams. Participate regular system updates, patches, and maintenance. Develop SOPs to aid with system changes and incidents. Training and Development: Train and mentor junior staff and other team members.  
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Must have previous experience in healthcare environments At least 10 years of experience in Data Centre management and system analysis. Proficiency in Data Centre technologies, including hardware, networking, and security: Citrix, Cisco, VMWare, Veeam, Meraki etc. Strong organizational skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
