The Opportunity

This position works out of our North Chicago, IL location in the Business Technology Services Division

What you'll work on

Create and present system design diagrams and technical implementation details to engineers and partner IT teams

Collaborate with partner IT staff to improve processes and infrastructure setup. Identify manual processes within the organization and automate them

Work with infrastructure engineers and other application teams to implement solutions that provide excellent access, throughput, availability, security and cost-effectiveness, while maintaining simplicity and industry best practices

Develop necessary documentation, testing and change control procedures to satisfy internal product validation and update yearly for audit compliance

Maintain accurate current state application architecture diagrams, documentation, and other data sources in a consistent and replicable manner

Develop detailed implementation, test and roll-back procedures for planned changes and follows code promotion model utilizing change request approvals.

Required Qualifications

Experience in creating, managing and troubleshooting shell scripts

Experience upgrading applications, server migrations, cybersecurity threats and monitoring, and penetration testing

Familiar with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and its integration functions with Azure

Familiar with automated testing and test-driven development practices

Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows administration

Excellent communication and customer service skills.  Able to bridge communication between technical areas and business areas for a full and complete understanding of expectations

Must be a self-starter and possess good analytical skills

Comfortable partnering with engineers to understand and solve problems that will enable you to deliver reliable software faster

Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse organizational environment

Understand the business environment and relate knowledge of internal and external activities to uncover trends, actionable insights, process, and system improvements to support the commercial teams.

Liaise with IT and other cross functional teams to maintain and support business systems and processes.

Supports end-users in the day-to-day application of systems and implement solutions to issues including training, process updates, documentation, system break fix or enhancements.

Ability to investigate/ troubleshoot Maximo Application Suite (MAS) to support optimization of system operations.

Support IT maintenance schedules

Support the site, critical manufacturing systems, Interface with the business, assist with change control documentation and participate in testing schedules, delivery and testing coordination.

Ensures Local IT has business continuity/disaster recovery plans and participates in testing of plans, as necessary and monitors results of business continuity testing

4-7 years experience in a quality systems environment, or equivalent combined work experience.

The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 – $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
