Senior Surgical Technician at Providence St Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA. This position is for Full-time and will work Day Shifts. There may be options of 10-hour or 12-hour shift lengths.

The Senior Certified Surgical Tech is a role model, mentor and resource to the team.  The Senior Certified Surgical Tech is identified as a subject matter expert in their role. As a member of the surgical team, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse Circulator, maintains the operating room sterile field; passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery. Insures that proper sterile technique is utilized to prevent contamination and infection. Assists the registered nurse with circulating duties.

Required Qualifications:

Coursework/Training: Successful completion of a surgical/OR Tech training program. Upon hire: National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. 3 years Surgical/OR Tech experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years Surgical/OR Tech experience. Prior experience in preceptor role.
