Senior Supervisor, Social Strategy
This role is open to be based from: Los Angeles, CA; Portland, OR; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA.  
Assembly is looking for a Senior Supervisor, Social Strategy to join our growing team of social strategists, practitioners, and community experts that will be supporting Microsoft across workstreams, including its Executive Visibility Team. 
As a Senior Supervisor, Social Strategy, you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative social and digital marketing strategies for Microsoft and its leaders to build thought-leadership and grow brand love with existing and new audiences. You will use your passion for social to think big, take calculated risks, and propose bold programs and campaigns that will make our clients stand out from the crowd. You will partner with clients and creatives to bring community and brand-enhancing work to market, across all social platforms. 
In this role, you’d lead strategy for a portfolio of executive visibility communications, advising some of Microsoft’s most senior leaders’ on their social, from planning to publishing. Your job is to direct Microsoft’s executives to have a more social-first presence, to elevate their storytelling and content, and to deliver reputational and channel-performance impact.

Our success comes from our smart, passionate, and curious people, who tell great stories and solve complex business problems day in and day out. ResponsibilitiesExhibits solid understanding of Microsoft brand and product information including general business strategy, industry issues, business objectives and trends, products/services offered, key customers, and competitors in the digital and social marketplace Articulates insights gleaned from social, conversational, and community trends, artfully organizing information from observations to strategic and actionable insights Develop integrated social strategies, including driving the research direction and insights for the development of social campaigns and overseeing day-to-day execution Provide guidance on engagement and participation for our clients and community managers in evolving social media channels, identifying and evaluating new opportunities as appropriate for client objectives Create and document best practices for community management, including workflows, tools, and responsibilities Evaluate, own, and optimize community management successes for clients Develop and execute creative campaigns designed to optimize audience growth and engagement. Coordinate community engagement activations for large-tier social media and digital campaigns across markets Provide oversight for a team of community managers and junior strategists by motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, and holding them accountable to both successes and setbacks Work collaboratively across teams and functions to ensure that the executives’ communications or marketing objectives and strategies are met Basic QualificationsAt least 6 years of experience in organic social strategy, content and platform management, with at least 2 years developing or overseeing integrated social media strategies A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience  Preferred QualificationsExperience with B2B organizations  Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal  Prior experience managing Community Managers Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Microsoft PowerPoint You’re that Chronically Online™️ friend; your FYP is filled with fire trends and you’ve always got the group chat laughing You’re fascinated by the era of AI: you've mastered the essentials—from industry trends to basic terminology—and you're excited to spread this knowledge far and wide Experience teaching the value of social or how it works to a client Experience working with creators or other talent in production of social content Experience with creative ideation or being a social creator, to articulate concepts to specific social posts and imagine how our strategies might come to life in feed Familiarity with social media management tools and platforms, from TikTok to Sprinklr Naturally curious and self-starter that keeps a pulse on cultural trends that drive behavioral shifts online and offline, and can contextualize these to both clients and internal teams including strategy, media relations, intelligence, and creative Flexible and agile with the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Detailed-oriented, highly organized with the ability to manage multiple project deadlines efficiently with operational excellence Serves as a positive role model; supports and respects colleagues, clients, and partners Listens and asks the right questions during day-to-day work; upholds creative, ethical, and legal standards Pushes for creative ideas; is purposeful and enterprising in problem-solving; embraces diverse trends, skills, specialties, and viewpoints Effectively and consistently manages strengths and weaknesses of self and others; enables self and others to bring the best of their skills and talents to work Understanding of social and tech industry regulations across corp comms, unbranded, and branded work across primary social platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, X/Twitter) Understanding of FTC and FDA social regulations across primary social platforms $100,000 - $125,000 a yearAn employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
