Curious to learn more? This Imagineer is responsible for providing projects with structural engineering support from the early phases of design up until the end of construction! This includes design, analysis, calculations and specifications for structural steel, concrete, masonry and timber buildings, structures and other miscellaneous items of an individual facility/attraction, area development element, land, or theme park project.

What You Will DoBe responsible for performing engineering design and calculation tasks is support of project phase deliverables with little or no supervision. This role may potentially lead a small team of engineers and designers (internal or external) in this support of this effort depending on project size and complexity.Ensure technical quality and conformance to department standards and procedures.Monitor progress of work and ensure that technical quality, interdisciplinary coordination, schedule and budget are maintained.Participate in vendor selection including bid evaluation, interviews and requests for information.Perform construction administrative functions such as reviewing and responding to shop drawings, submittals, and request for information.Identify and assist with resolution of structural related issues such as clashes and scope gaps during design and construction phases.Peer review of structural systems that interface with main facility structure.Become familiar with structural sections of WDI master specifications.Take ownership for acquiring building department approvals when required.May have Engineer of Record responsibility.

Required Qualifications & SkillsProfessional registration as a Florida PE or ability to obtain reciprocity.6 or more years of proven experience in structural engineering.Minimum of 2 years leading structural engineers and designers in the production of contract documents for construction.Varied structural engineering design and analysis experience in the areas of concrete, steel, and wood structures.Construction phase experience including the submittal/shop drawing review process and on-site field inspectionsKnowledge of industry practices, construction methods and materials, codes, current technology and the preparation and use of contract documents as related to structural engineering.Proficiency with Revit, Enercalc, RISA, and Navisworks.Adept at problem solving and creative thinking.Ability to work independently and to thrive in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline project team environment.

Preferred QualificationsAn advanced degree in the structural engineering field8 or more years of shown experience in Structural EngineeringRegistration as a Florida SEExperienced in theme park attraction design and construction is preferred.Active membership in ASCE, AISC or ACI is desirable.

EducationGraduate of an accredited engineering school with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
